Let’s take ownership of the places that bring us together. Our parks are more than green spaces, they’re where memories are made and childhoods unfold.
Join L.C.O.P. in our monthly effort to keep our parks clean and safe for everyone. Grab a trash bag, take a walk, and help preserve the heart of our community, one step, one park, one piece of litter at a time. No sign-up, no fuss, no registration needed, just bring a trash bag, a pair of gloves, and a little community pride!
Community Pride in Action: Protect, Play, and Preserve.
Lackawanna State Park is a total of 1,411 acres of parkland and a 198-acre lake make Lackawanna State Park the centerpiece of this beautiful, modern recreational facility. Visitors can enjoy hiking, camping, and picnicking, or take to the water with a boat ride, kayak, or canoe rental. Hunters, hikers, horseback riders, and mountain bikers share 15 miles of multi-use trails. These scenic paths wind past the lake, through forests and fields, and along woodland streams.
A Call to Community Action: Let’s Take Pride in Our Parks.
Nay Aug Park is one of the most well-known parks in the Scranton area, valued for its natural beauty and scenic gorge views. The park features walking trails, waterfalls, picnic areas, and a playground, blending outdoor recreation with environmental education. Its mix of wooded areas and open spaces makes it a year-round destination for both relaxation and exploration.
Keep the Children Playing: A Call to Community Pride.
Sherwood Park is a small community park that serves as a gathering place for nearby neighborhoods. It provides green space for casual recreation, play, and outdoor enjoyment, particularly for families with children. Enjoy the walking trail, basketball courts, baseball/softball fields, soccer field and playground.
Pride in Parks. Power in Community.
McDade Park is Lackawanna County’s premier destination park, home to the Boundless Playground, a large inclusive play space designed for children of all abilities and needs. Spanning more than 200 acres of rolling green space, the park is free for everyone to enjoy and offers hiking, nature trails, and beautiful natural gardens.
Let’s show pride in our community.
Condella Park is one of our community’s treasures, with long walking trails along the Lackawanna River, open green spaces, baseball field, basketball courts, tennis courts, picnic pavilions, and plenty of room to enjoy the outdoors. But like all parks, it needs a little care to keep it beautiful.
We’d love to hear from you!
If there’s a park in your neighborhood or community that you think could use some extra care and attention, send us an email and let us know. Whether it’s litter clean-up, planting flowers, or general maintenance, we’re always looking for new places to make a difference. Tell us the name of the park and why you think it should be our next project, we’re here to help bring positive change, one park at a time!

At the heart of our community efforts is a simple belief, that no one in our area should go without the basics they need.
We donated several cases of food multiple times throughout the month of November, which were distributed to various local organizations and families in need. Our contributions were recognized by the Dunmore Borough, along with a heartfelt thank you from the council president, which means so much to us!
We share these photos not for recognition, but to inspire others to join in helping our neighbors. Even small acts of generosity can make a big difference when we work together.
